Our world is evolving, our economy is evolving, and we are being challenged to evolve with it or fall by the wayside.  Changing demographics in the market, changing demographics in the workplace, and changing attitudes about what is normal are putting stress on the old systems that we have been using to manage business and manage people.  Think of the challenges driven by differences between:

  • Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z workforces
  • Left brain or right brain dominant thinkers, and neuro-diverse thinkers
  • Differing viewpoints and styles of leadership in business partnerships
  • The transition between primarily male leaders into female/male leadership
  • Mission-driven leaders (visionaries) and their “foot soldiers”
  • Top-down Leaders and increasingly diverse employees
  • The reality gap between Social media and real life
  • Existing business structures and changing global interconnectedness

We are at an unprecedented time in human history when there is an absolute need for collaboration for us to thrive in this rapidly evolving economy and marketplace.  Collaboration is a core competency in many fields, but are we taught how to do it? For many, collaboration and partnership is not a foreign concept, but it is definitely an untrained skill!
